DAY 1

The tour leaves at 8:00 a.m. from our office. Climb aboard our air-conditioned tour bus accompanied by your guide and you’re off to Reims After a 2-hour trip you’ll arrive in Reims and begin your visit at the city’s celebrated Gothic cathedral a UNESCO World Heritage site which has witnessed the coronation of all the Kings of France. Next you’ll take a guided tour of the internationally renowned Mumm winery cellars where you will learn about all the steps required to produce Champagne. At the end of this visit participate in a tasting of the celebrated Mumm Cordon Rouge range.

Next you’ll head to Epernay on a road that leads you through the heart of famous Montagne de Reims vineyards to the celebrated Avenue de Champagne in Epernay a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2015. Lining this avenue you’ll find the most famous of Champagne Houses each more impressive than the last. 

A second comfortably equipped tour bus will take your tour and its dedicated guide to Epernay and then on to Dijon in the Burgundy region the next destination on your trip. After approximately three hours you will arrive in Dijon and settle in to your centrally-located hotel.

Enjoy some free time to get comfortably settled at the hotel then meet up with your guide for a guided tour of Dijon its historical center picturesque streets and stupendous mansions.

As the day comes to a close take time to wander the city streets however you choose relishing this occasion to purchase local specialties such as mustards gingerbread liqueurs made from blackcurrant and other fruits as well as other specialties. You are free to eat dinner wherever you choose although we strongly recommend your hotel restaurant which offers elegant and typical décor and a savory menu much enjoyed by locals.

DAY 2

After breakfast at your hotel you’ll head to Nuit Saint Georges in your tour bus accompanied by your guide. After about a 45-minute journey you will visit the majestic Château de Clos Vougeot and its magnificent Renaissance-style rooms located along the Route des Grands Crus in Burgundy. The excursion continues after a transfer to Beaune (about 30 minutes by bus) where a Bouchard cellar tour awaits you. Prepare to be amazed as you embark on a journey of the five senses ending with a remarkable tasting that includes a Burgundy Grand Cru.

Then enjoy some free time to have lunch.

After your meal you will follow your guide for a tour to get oriented in the city before visiting the Hospices de Beaune also known as Hotel-Dieu de Beaune. This historic monument houses within its immense cellar a portion of the wine produced by the Hospices.

As the day comes to a close you will reach Belfort after a two-hour ride. Settle in to your hotel near the city center where dinner will be served. You will have an opportunity to walk around the center of Belfort or admire its symbol a gigantic lion statue sculpted into the hillside by the renowned sculptor Bartholdi who erected the Statue of Liberty.

Spend the night in Belfort.

DAY 3

After breakfast at your hotel you will be driven to an Alsatian vineyard in the city of Colmar about 50 miles from Belfort. Your guide will take you on a tour of this charming city. You will be charmed by its typical colored houses its canals and its planted streets. 

After the tour you will have time to have lunch and see the city as you see fit.

In the early afternoon you will leave for Riquewihr 30 minutes away. A medieval town it ranks among the “quaintest villages in France.” After a cellar visit and a tasting of several Alsatian wines including Crémant your guide will take you through this enchanting town amidst its distinct half-timbered homes. Traditional architecture and quality wines are what make Riquewihr a hidden gem amongst Alsatian vineyards. 

Next travel to Strasbourg by bus where you’ll stay in a centrally-located hotel. From it you are only a short walk away from a wide selection of traditional restaurants along the Ill river which flows through the city.

DAY 4

You’ll begin the last day of this circuit with breakfast at your hotel and a guided city tour. Follow your guide as you discover the center of Alsace’s vibrant capital with its celebrated sites and monuments that include the Strasbourg Cathedral and Kammerzell House a renowned restaurant located inside a sumptuous half-timbered typically Alsatian house. Go for a walk through the picturesque neighborhood known as Petite France a charming area perfect for a leisurely stroll. Admire the city’s canals bridges and magnificent colored houses. 

You’ll have lunch in a traditional restaurant where your guide will leave you to continue exploring Strasbourg. At this point you may continue your trip however you choose.

Our circuit and guided excursion end here in Strasbourg. Ask us beforehand if you would like to return to Paris by bullet train. Prices and seat reservations are subject to availability.

  • It is possible to return to Paris by bullet train
  • Weather and time permitting a cruise will be provided free in Colmar
  • Additional fee for single room: 185 euros
  • For all reservations that require a single room (triple rooms are not available) an additional fee of €185 must be paid at the PARISCityVISION office before departure

Payment and Cancellation policy
  1. Full payment is required at the time of booking.
  2. 80% of the total price will be refunded in case of a cancellation occurring more than 15 days prior to Tour Date. In case of a cancellation occuring closer to the Tour Date, it is to the Tour Operator's discretion to issue a refund, which may be partial or complete. Tours that cannot be confirmed within 2 business days will be refunded in full.
