Explore the Versailles Palace with this exclusive skip-the-line tour.
Hidden away from the modern world this European castle on the outskirts of Paris is a perfect example of the French monarchy’s extravagance.
With a maximum of 20 people per group your tour of the palace will be intimate unhurried and enjoyable. We will skip the line via a pre-booked entrance to Versailles and your English-speaking expert guide will lead you from one marvelous room to the next (there are 700 in total). Learn where Louis XIV tormented his friends and family with long boring ceremonies and where Marie Antoinette ate her cake.
And just when you think you've seen it all encounter the manicured Gardens of Versailles—over 1800 acres in size. If you’re visiting on a Thursday we’ll give you a free guided tour of the gardens with time for yourself to wander alone. We recommend a date when either the famous Versailles Fountain Show or Musical Gardens are running (all days except Thursday) on that day.
On one of those specific days a ticket to either one of the shows will be included in your tour price. The Versailles Fountain Show is a wonderful live concert held in the groves. Watch fountains synchronize to the music of an orchestra at the Fountain Show or be enchanted by classical music in beautiful surroundings during the live Musical Gardens event.
The Fountain and Musical Gardens is free only on Thursdays. On every other day of the tour – Tuesday Saturday and Sunday – you will be required to purchase a ticket. On these days the price of the show is added to your ticket.
The show schedule for 2014 is as follows:
The Versailles Fountain Show runs on Tuesdays (May 22 - June 26) Saturdays and Sundays (April 1 - October 28).
The Versailles Musical Gardens Show runs on Tuesdays (April 3 - May 15 & July 3 - October 30).

NEW Meeting Point: Outside the Metro stop Invalides on the rue de l'Université, 75007 Paris.
Arriving by metro:
Take metro lines 13 or 8 and get off at the stop Invalides. Follow the signs to the exit. There is only one exit and it will bring you out onto the rue de l'Université in the middle of the Esplanade des Invalides (Google maps shows the exit by the river, this is the RER train exit not the metro). Your guide will be standing in front of the metro exit with a sign.
Arriving by taxi: Ask to be taken to Invalides and dropped off outside the metro exit on the rue de l'Université. You will see the tall sign with the yellow M on it for the metro.
Arriving by foot: As you are standing on the large Esplanade des Invalides, the Invalides building with the gold dome is behind you and the Pont Alexandre III with the large gold statues on it is in front of you. The rue de l'Université runs through the middle of the Esplanade. The metro exit is to your right and can be seen by the tall sign with a yellow M on it.
