On this full-day tour you will visit the castles of:

Chenonceau

Built on the river Cher where the unique beauty of its architecture reflects in the water the Chateau de Chenonceau is the Val de Loire's finest. The lovely surroundings the formal garden and the park surrounding it add to the impression of delicate grace emanating from the castle. Chenonceau is not only remarkable for its architecture and history but also for the fine quality of its collections as can be seen from the inside visit : Renaissance furniture a vast ensemble of XVI th and XVII th centuries tapestries and a great number of masterpieces.

Chambord Castle :

The royal Chateau de Chambord at Chambord, Loir-et-Cher, France is one of the most recognizable chateaux in the world because of its very distinct French Renaissance architecture that blends traditional French medieval forms with classical Italian structures. It is the largest castle in the Loire Valley, but was built to serve only as a hunting lodge for King François I, who maintained his royal residences at Chateau de Blois and Chateau d Amboise.

 

Azay-Le-Rideau

It was during the period of creative energy of the early years of the reign of François I that the Chateau of Azay was built. Located in Touraine it is one of the string of prestigious châteaux of the Loire where for a century the Kings of France liked to stay.


Villandry

Villandry was completed toward 1536 and was the last of the large chateaux built in the Loire Valley during the Renaissance. Villandry was built by Jean le Breton one of Francois I s Finance Ministers whose coat of arms can be seen on the gable of the left-hand dormer window.

A lunch break is scheduled in Tours. Lunch and entrance tickets are not included.Visit of the different chateaux on your own.

  • You can choose to get an audioguide (not included)  at each castle for a more in depth visit.
Payment and Cancellation policy
  1. Full payment is required at the time of booking.
  2. 80% of the total price will be refunded in case of a cancellation occurring more than 15 days prior to Tour Date. In case of a cancellation occuring closer to the Tour Date, it is to the Tour Operator's discretion to issue a refund, which may be partial or complete. Tours that cannot be confirmed within 2 business days will be refunded in full.
