We will drive off the beaten track along the “Route des Grands Crus” from Dijon to Beaune. You’ll see and walk through the beautiful vineyards discover the castle « Clos de Vougeot » and the charming wine villages…
Your English-speaking guide will explain how to decipher the complex Burgundy wine labels as well as the importance of « terroir », the history our farming methods and the very important art of wine tasting…
Then we'll visit a traditional wine cellars where you'll get a chance to meet the winemaker or sommelier who will share his or her passion for wine. This will be the occasion to taste 4 or 5 wines at each tasting stop to be served with local Gougère (Burgundian cheese puffs). An initiation into the art of wine tasting will offered at each cellar.
Then you'll have a free time in Beaune chere you can visit the Hospices de Beaune or another wine cellar (entrance fees will be extra). Trip time : 4 hours approximately everyday. Bilingual visit : French/English. Departure from the Dijon "Maison du Tram" (train station). Minimum of 2 people.
